Gloria Dei Church in Huntingdon Valley in the northeast suburbs of Philadelphia is seeking a new lead (senior) pastor. The church is located on a beautifully landscaped, multi-acre campus.
We are an engaged, faithful, talented and forward thinking church community that worships approximately 250 congregants every weekend through a variety of service formats.
This position would be appropriate for someone who has had 7+ years of experience as a pastor in a mid-size or larger congregation, and who has an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build something special.
We are a congregation seeking to grow in our faith and discipleship. We are looking for a pastor who can preach and teach in a way that will engage the congregants in their spiritual journey and help them develop a deeper relationship with God.
We seek a person who would enjoy the challenge of leading and inspiring a diverse group of Christians who already have a strong sense of community and a bias toward mission and action to take their discipleship (both inward and outward) to new levels.
Our statement of faith, to the right, sums up who we strive to be as a congregation. We are part of the ELCA, however, we have full communion with the Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist, Reformed, and UCC churches. Anyone with these faith traditions can be considered for the position.
The Gloria Dei website, www.gloriadei.com has more information about the church and its activities.
