“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They came through you but not from you and though they are with you yet they do not belong to you.” (Khalil Gibran) We are the stewards of our children’s futures, not the owners. Even as we pause to say a special “thank you” to mothers and fathers, so we offer thanks for our children.
