I Can’t Face Forgiving You

From the ‘Sing Young, Sing Joyfully’ collection

1.  I can’t face forgiving you,

You have caused me too much pain.

You have made me cry too much,

We can’t be good friends again.

I just want to be alone

Letting my dark anger reign.

2.  I don’t want to speak to you,

You have caused me too much grief.

I just want to spell revenge

Boldly and in strong relief.

I just want to be alone

Feeling like a crushed-up leaf.

3.“Those who don’t forgive”, says God

“Never find their inner glee.

Stop rehearsing all the wrongs

Blighting how you feel and see.

Drop your urge to seek revenge,

Live a life that’s truly free”.
