O God, our God:

Our hearts long to be at home with You.

Our minds hunger for more knowledge of You.

Our hands are full of needs to lay before You.

Come to us, we pray, in the midst of the hurry and busyness of our lives.

Let us hear Your voice in the sounds and silences that fill our days.

Let us see you in the faces of our human companions.

Let us sense your ministry to us in the love of the creatures You have given us for our delight.

Be in the yearning of our souls that, no matter what name we call You,

We can know You,

We can murmur  “I and Thou,”

“You and I”

and be perfectly content in Your presence.
