Everyone has doubts. Everyone has questions.
It used to be a sign of “faith” to suppress one’s doubts and questions, but no more. There is enough unanswerable mystery in the universe without creating more by refusing the gift of rational thought.
Besides, as writer Anne Lamott says, “The opposite of faith is not doubt, it’s certainty.”
