I am greater than my thinking

Or the follies of my heart,

I can grow in self awareness

That promotes a brand new start,

For I trust the Spirit’s oneness,

Trust the way compassion cares,

Trust the life-force, trust the wholeness,

Trust the love beyond my fears.

I have found connecting pathways

In my joy and in my pain.

I can dwell in mystery’s wonder

Far beyond all thought of gain,

I will sideline self-importance,

I will sing though full of grief.

I will rise from dismal moaning

Like a spring-time shoot or leaf,
