We go forward and around
In the cycles of the Earth;
The seasons in their sequence
With death that leads to birth.
The planets spinning round the sun,
The moon around our home,
The Cosmos is expanding
Just like the frothing foam.
Like an arrow life can move
From an A to reach a D
But life is also cycles
From B to C to B.
So don’t confuse the arrow’s flight
With how the year goes round.
Discover God in nature
In both the sky and ground.
If the world within our mind
Seems neither black nor white
Trust God within the process
Of day which turns to night,
For we are more than moving parts
Or struggle or desire
And God is ever birthing
New peace within the fire.
