Spirit’s golden fire,

God’s life-force in our depth, *

Fan within our hearts

Your just and caring warmth.

Melt the prison bars

Through prophets’ words and tears;

Free the people’s power,

Dispel the people’s fears.

Help us take our stand

Against oppressors’ lust,

Sharing with the poor

Our wealth, our power, our trust.

Come, O holy fire

And heal Creation’s pain;

Dance your flames in us,

Renew Earth’s life again.
