When we have moved beyond the realm of words
And emptiness replaces all our thought,
A Christ-like peace descends upon our hearts,
A space where wars are neither won nor sought.
O desert God, who dwells in deepest night,
Your darkest space reveals a cosmic view;
With trust we move beyond the circumscribed
To dance with Christ the spiral’s golden hue.
With loving thoughts we grow to overcome
Each force which undermines our inner health
Until we view each other as the one
Who also dwells within our complex self.
