Chocolat- a classic movie of love and the message of inclusion

Just in time for Valentines Day, this movie is a classic treat of the senses and the spirit! And with the theme of inclusion and the true teachings of Jesus, this fits right in here at PC.org. Watch it with your sweet ones.

Starring Johnny Depp and Judi Dench, Chocolat tells the story of Vianne (Juliette Binoche) when she arrives in a tranquil, old-fashioned French town. In her very unusual chocolate shop, she creates mouth-watering confections that almost magically inspire the straitlaced villagers to abandon themselves to temptation and happiness. When a handsome Irish Gypsy (Johnny Depp) arrives in town, Vianne is finally able to recognize her own desires. For more Chocolat: http://miram.ax/chocolat

The Gospel According to Chocolat

Video I produced for sermon on “Holy Communion” as a “Means of Grace.” In it’s own way, the movie conveys essential themes of the Gospel. By tweaking it (with legalistic scenes/characters in black in white and graceful scenes in color), I added my own touch: hopefully adding to the message that God’s hope and plan in the Gospel and in Holy Communion is to call us from our black and white existence into a full color experience!
