1. Abraham had stirring dreams (i)
That called for emigration.
Steadfast faith sustained his search
Despite its worst privation.
Joseph found in Pharaoh’s dreams (ii)
An exit from starvation;
Food for family and friends
By means of innovation.
2. Noah shared God’s saving dream (iii)
Which featured conservation;
Saving every form of life
From mass annihilation.
Mary sang a dream-like song (iv)
Of human liberation;
Wealth and power shared by all
Creating celebration.
3. Jesus lived the sacred dream
Of people’s transformation;
Wholeness which forgiveness gifts
And health from expectation.
Each of us has power to live
The Christ’s illuminations
Finding sacredness within
Despite our limitations.
4. Dreamers cannot change the world
Without cooperation.
Solo fires must merge as one
Great source of inspiration.
Dreams can soon evaporate
Without determination
To assist hope’s strategies
Attain their consummation.
