All Things Are Connected

From the ‘Sing Young, Sing Joyfully’ collection

1.  All things are connected

And everything is one,

The cells within our flesh,

The Moon, the stars, the Sun.

2. Genomes form a ladder

Extending back through time

From us to primal life

In an evolving line.

3. Greed destroys the oneness

Fragmenting what is whole

Until the separate parts

Become our only goal.

4. Segments join together

In liberated minds

Bonded by the wonder

Each pilgrim spirit finds.

5. All things are connected

And everything is one,

The cells within our flesh,

The Moon, the stars, the Sun.
