Spiritual Direction is a vocation that supports others as they explore and deepen their spirituality. Eco-Spiritual Direction includes the rest of the sacred and alive world in that companionship.

It is an emerging discipline, one that is desperately needed at this time of ecological trauma and an emerging new story of reconnection. Our spirituality is not separate from the rest of the alive and interconnected planet. And so, to be faithful to the sacred calling of spiritual direction, it is essential to learn to listen deeply to the numinous presence in Nature as part of the companioning relationship.

To meet this urgent need, the EcoSpiritual Direction certificate process is a unique, first-of-its-kind program that combines the powerful eco-spirituality experiential program of Seminary of the Wild Earth with the leading spiritual direction training center out of California called STILLPOINT, which has been training people to companion others in their lives of faith, spiritual practice and action for forty years.
