Let opposites all share a common space,
The inner and the outer be as one;
Each mind reflect life’s interweaving grace
And hearts all find God’s presence deep within.
Let measured ways inform ecstatic highs
And logic’s fans explore their spirit’s bliss.
May rich folk find how less can make them wise,
The poor be freed from mundane living’s chains.
Let scholars draw on workers’ common sense.
May preachers trust the wisdom silence brings.
The priests and prophets move beyond defence,
‘Till all their dreams are seen to be as one.
Let adults value inner childlikeness.
Let children show their elders due respect.
Let images reflect the nothingness
And mystery’s face be seen in everything.
O God the many you are also one,
A wholeness binding action, thought and speech,
Found both in darkness and the vibrant sun,
A wonder only love, with awe, can reach.
