LIFE EXPLAINED
From cradle to coffin we live out our time
We ponder existence seeking reason and rhyme
We awake to the morning and sleep through the night
Our unanswered questions provide little light
We struggle and falter, achieve and succeed
Despite what we gain, we still are not freed
And as we grow older and mourn loss of youth
We nurture a friendship with wisdom and truth
We come to find answers of which we’re not sure
We wrestle with illness and hope for a cure
Our river keeps flowing till it reaches the sea
Only to learn what we were is what we will be.
