Prophetic wind gust through our cobwebbed minds,
With cleansing rain caress our dormant seed.
Let night transform our barren thoughts
And silence heal our every need.
Rejoice! Rejoice! The God of Winter comes
In holy darkness and in wondrous light.
May Winter calm our spirits’ frantic pace
As fallen leaves repose within Earth’s seams.
Let darkness birth a golden peace
And warm our hearts with Summer dreams.
Rejoice! Rejoice! The God of Winter comes
In holy darkness and in wondrous light.
O come, dear Spring, but not before we rest,
Nor yet before the Winter of our tears
Releases streams of healing life
And drives away our deepest fears.
Rejoice! Rejoice! The God of Winter comes
In holy darkness and in wondrous light
