We have a vision of the world not yet realised

All: Where they will beat their swords into ploughshares

They will have no need of the weapons of war

All: They will beat their spears into pruning hooks

Conflicts between countries and communities will be resolved by dialogue

All: Nation will not lift up sword against nation

In schools and colleges across the world children and young people will learn about mutual understanding and reconciliation

All: They will not learn war any more

They will learn about compassion, forgiveness and peace

All: They will not hurt or destroy
