The world within and world outside
Both rest within God’s caring.
When inner streams unite with seas
They herald total sharing.
Without the water in our flesh
Our bodies soon would perish.
Without what comes from inner wells
We lose what pilgrims cherish.
Let’s treasure water from the skies,
Let’s prize our inner well-springs,
Let’s honor tunes the water shapes,
The songs which planet Earth sings.
O God of water, source of life,
The flow that brings new birthing,
When hearts and soil gain nurture’s care
Your justice has its earthing.
