This Earth is full of beauty
For those with open eyes;
This world is full of wonder
Which makes the pilgrim wise.
Through love we find a pathway
To heaven on this Earth;
Forgiveness heals the hatred
Which undermines our worth.
This life brings joy and sadness
And no-one is exempt
But we control the process
Of wonder or contempt.
The grief of all our failures,
The hurt from other days
Need not enslave the present
Nor turn our hearts from praise.
O God of all life’s fullness,
Of laughter and of pain,
To you we come with wonder
In sunshine and the rain.
Beyond the narrow bound’ries
Of human ways of thought
We find your wond’rous mystr’y
That can’t be earned or bought.
