“Less is more.” A carefully crafted poem leaves so much to the reader’s imagination, which makes it the perfect vehicle for spiritual insights. Too many words, too much detail, and the result is — perhaps — understanding the author’s insight but not necessarily sparking anything new in the reader. It’s a delicate balance, to point the way without trying to dictate its unfolding.
