Change is a challenge at any age in almost any context. Human nature seems to prefer the known, the predictable. Churches, as we know, are no exception! The irony is that religion is in a constant state of change, as it interacts with culture and the times, and old words acquire fresh interpretations. You can spend your energy putting up resistance to change, or you can heed the wisdom of Socrates, who said, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

Source and pulse of human life,
Unseen hope of every nation,
Healer of disease and strife;
I wish for the source of ageless restoration to renew my spirit of transformation; then enliven enthusiasm, enlighten acumen and enhance kindness with patient understanding.
