There is more than one kind of intelligence. The learning that we pursue with our intellect is one kind, but the wisdom we come to understand through our hearts is another. To be a progressive Christian is to embrace both. “Left brain” learning informs our spirituality, but is not enough by itself to encompass the great truths that all religions seek to express.
