Natalie Renee Perkins got her kicks on Route 66 and pretty much every other major (and minor) highway you can think of as she performed with the national tours of Hairspray and RENT.
As a singer, she also traveled the world on two major cruise lines, took a spin with two world renowned symphony orchestras, as well as a host of regional theatres across the United States. Most recently, she has been a contributing writer for Emancipation Proclamation: Forever Free and Daily Guideposts editions 2014, '15, and '16.
When she’s not in Systematic Theology or Biblical Studies, she occasionally dons her characters shoes again to perform with the USO Show Troupe. Natalie is wrapping up her final year in seminary and is exploring innovative ways to combine her love of art and music with her new path in ministry. Recently, she led a Happy dance video through the halls of Union Theological Seminary and explored what it means for folks to experience a God of Happy in the midst of sorrow.
Additionally, she composed six songs using the lyrics from six of the Odes of Solomon. In her “spare” time, she struggles to keep her plant Otis alive.
