    • Born in Pomona , CA , 12/13/1926. Youngest of four sons of two very solid parents, members of a local church of the Methodist Episcopal Church, (South). By my teens I knew that my mission was to aid in getting the whole world to become converted to the Christian Faith, (preferably the Methodist branch). Enlisted in US Navy Aircrew program at age 17; served two years (never in combat) Completed last two years of college at the University of Redlands (we called it “the best Methodist school run by Baptists, in the country) Taught school in little country school, with a bell on the top, in Northern California, while working on degree in School Psychology. Went back to Sol Cal. to the USC School of Relgion, (which moved to Claremont , where I finished my last year). Pastor of small Methodist church in South Whittier for two years. Moved back into psychology as Minister of Counseling at El Monte UMC, then, knowing I was approaching a divorce, moved into private practice setting in El Monte . Met my present wife, Carol, when I became Chaplain at the Norwalk Kaiser Hospice. We married in '85. I have two adult daughters and two grandaughters by first wife. Carol has a daughter, two sons, and six grandchildren by prior husband. Areas of interest and hobbies: Owned, lived aboard and sailed 38 ft sailboat. Owned and flew two airplanes. Owned and rode 16 motorcycles over western US, Mexico & Canada , over 62 year period. Two parachute jumps at age 50. Flew “powered parachute” aircraft. Play piano by ear. Sing tenor in choirs and choruses. Love to read; cosmic sciences, religion, mysteries, etc. Wrote occasional columns for local paper in Long Beach California . Current theology: Panentheism is probably closest term.
