Camino de liberación/Path of Liberation

Poem by Tina Datsko de Sanchez Spanish translation by José Sanchez-H.

Lo Divino nos está llamando
The Divine is calling us
para liberar a los cautivos,
to bring release to the captives,
para abrir la puerta de la jaula, especialmente
to open the cage door, especially
para los niños en jaulas reales.
for the children in actual cages.
La necesidad de liberación se hace tangible.
The need for liberation is made tangible.

María y José son, otra vez y siempre,
Mary and Joseph are, again and always,
extraños que viajan lejos de casa.
strangers traveling away from home.
Y el pesebre en el que ponen al niño Jesús,
And the manger they set the baby Jesus in,
está rodeado por cerca de alambre
is surrounded by chain link
para ser abierto de golpe por el amor.
to be blown open by love.
